DESCRIPTION
This project aims
to compare geography, cultures, languages… of the partners’ countries and
communicate with students from other countries. Students will create a blog
where to post messages and simple presentations on several aspects of their
country, they will create also online games about geography, culture, food,
sports… to test their partners’ knowledge about their country. Some games will
be created collaboratively by students of different countries. A mascot will be
travelling from school to school. The mascot will be in each school between 15
and 20 days, collecting postcards and messages of each partner’s country , then
it will go to the next school according to the schedule which will be published
on the project’s TwinSpace (at the end of the project students will
have all collection about every partners’ country)
AIMS
1)
Increase students’ knowledge of each own country.
2)
Develop students’ knowledge of some of the
cultural features of the partners’ countries;
3)
Increase students’ knowledge of language and cultural
diversity in the EU;
4)
Help students feel part of the EU diversity of
cultures;
5)
Help students compare their culture with the
partners’;
6)
Develop a sense of belonging to an European
citizenship;
7)
Develop students' creativity
8)
Increase motivation to communicate in English;
9)
Develop oral and written English skills;
10) Develop ICT
skills through the use of different softwares and platforms;
11) Learn
how to use the Twinspace

collaborative skills.

students’ critical thinking through the project evaluation.
WORK PROCESS
The project will
include 9 main activities:
● introducing each other;
● creating an online blog
●
getting information about their country;
●
creating presentations about several aspects of their
country;
●
creating online games to be played from partners
●
creating online games collaboratively by two or three
schools to be played by other partners;
●
viewing presentations made by partners (and learning
about their country);
●
playing games made by partners;
● evaluating the project.
FINAL PRODUCT
A blog made
collaboratively by all partners' schools containing all the presentations and
all the games made by the students
DISSEMINATION
Link to the blog of the project in
each schools’ website.
Presentation of the blog to parents.
Publication of the project and of the main
activities in local newspapers.
